From regulation to resilience: Loxon and MEA Finance convene senior UAE banking leaders in Dubai
12 Feb. 2026

On 5 February 2026, Loxon partnered with MEA Finance to host the From Regulation to Resilience executive roundtable in Dubai, held at the JW Marriott Hotel Marina.

The event brought together senior decision-makers and risk leaders from across the UAE banking sector for a focused discussion on the evolving role of Early Warning Systems under IFRS 9 and the CBUAE Rulebook. For Loxon, it was a privilege to contribute to a forum that gathered key voices shaping the direction of credit risk management in the region.

As regulatory expectations continue to intensify, the conversation reflected a broader industry shift. Institutions are no longer evaluating Early Warning Systems solely through a compliance lens. Increasingly, the emphasis is on how credit risk frameworks perform in real operating environments and how effectively early risk signals translate into structured action.

Beyond compliance: operational alignment in focus

Throughout the session, the discussion moved beyond regulatory checklists. Participants examined how early warning indicators are embedded into everyday decision-making, how staging accuracy is supported through clearer workflows and how monitoring frameworks connect with collection strategies in practice.

A recurring observation was that analytics alone are no longer enough. As portfolios become more dynamic, alignment between risk, finance and collections functions plays a growing role in ensuring that early warning indicators translate into timely and proportionate action.

The roundtable format encouraged open dialogue and practical exchange, allowing attendees to compare approaches and reflect on shared challenges across different banking institutions. The interactive setting created space for constructive debate and peer-level insight among industry leaders.

Loxon is proud to have partnered with MEA Finance on this executive roundtable and to contribute to ongoing conversations shaping resilient credit risk practices in the region.
